New novel, "Bonnie’s Law" by Kim "Kid" Curry is released, the story of a small town thrown into a tailspin when on-air lies are made legal, and a young woman with the courage to fight back

“Bonnie’s Law: The Return of Fairness” by Kim “Kid” Curry has been released worldwide. This 230-page novel is set in the quiet, happy town of River City and centers on a brilliant young woman named Molly. In the wake of the President rescinding the Fairness Doctrine, stripping the requirement for broadcast media to present balanced viewpoints, the town is thrust into tragedy and chaos, just as Molly’s best friend Bonnie predicted. Molly, confined to a wheelchair after an accident related to the town’s troubles, uses her intelligence to fight back for free speech and integrity, taking her battles from the local level all the way into the national spotlight.

In a smart, rich story that pulls from very real problems facing American media today, Curry weaves a tale that draws readers in with immediate action, builds emotional connections through vivid characters with complex relationships, and explores a critical social issue through the dire consequences that befall River City.

Bonnie’s Law (ISBN: 9798985400021) can be purchased through retailers worldwide, including and Amazon. The paperback retails for $12.99. Wholesale orders are available through Ingram.

From the back cover:

A young woman’s hometown peace is shattered when a President allows lies to be made legal. Molly Melissa Alvin and her family reside deep in the heartland of America, River City. A modest town of friendly people, nestled around its namesake with a vibrant downtown, tree lined streets, a Christmas tree farm, the largest pickle patch in the state and K-River Radio, the town’s only radio station, listened to by all.

Everyone loved Molly. From her first day in school until graduation, teachers watched in awe as the little girl with the memory of chessmasters and vast amounts of knowledge, nurtured her fellow classmates.

When “Big” Bob in the morning announced the President was about to rescind the Fairness Doctrine, making lies on-air legal without debate, Molly’s best friend Bonnie warned of the loss of truth and trust. How could the people of River City have known the controversial move would pit citizen against citizen, burn a path through their hometown, kill seventeen friends and confine Molly to a wheelchair for the rest of her life.

No one would be better equipped than Molly to fight a battle that would begin in the streets of this great country and end in the halls of Congress. Molly wanted to bring civility back to America and return the Fairness Doctrine.
